Team Whisky River is leaving for the National Amateur field trial in Ogden, UT this week. Both Bullet and Trigger will be competing. We will post updates on Facebook and Twitter. Wish us luck!
Trigger and the old girl, Brandy, competed in the Central, WI field trial on Friday. Trigger won the Amateur with three flawless series. After not competing for two years, Brandy made me very proud. She was called back to the 3rd and did a fantastic job, but didn’t place. She’s still got it!
Trigger placed first in the amateur division of the Central Wisconsin field trial last weekend. He ran as hard as ever and basically had a flawless trial.
Bullet won the Fox Valley dog trial and placed 3rd in the Minnesota Heartland, competing in the amateur. She then made it to the 3rd series in the next 2 following trials. The placements qualified her to compete at the National Amateur dog trial in Ogden, Utah in November.
Trigger and Bullet competed in the Northern Minnesota field trial, near Brainerd this past weekend. Trigger had three nice runs and won the Amatuer division. This is his first win and second placement in field trials. We are very proud of our big boy!
The 2011 Nationals was held in Beatrice, Nebraska last month. Bullet competed against 111 of the best springer spaniels in the US. The National Field Trial consists of five land series and a water test. Each dog has to complete each single series and in the eyes of the judges, be worthy to progress to the next series….Read moreRead more
Both Bullet and Trigger competed at the Southern Wisconsin Sporting Spaniel Club field trial this past weekend. The cover was very tall and dense creating challenging conditions. Bullet placed fourth in the Open, while Trigger made it to the 3rd series in the Amateur, but did not place. I was pleased with how both dogs…Read moreRead more
At the recent Minnesota English Springer Spaniel Club, Bullet took 1st place in the open and Trigger took 4th. This was Trigger’s first placement in an all-age trial.
