Whisky River Stud Dogs

Updated: Dec 11, 2022

Whisky River Gun Dogs currently has a few great stud males, one of which recently placed at the 2020 National Open Championship. Each offers great temperament while knowing how to turn it on in the field. You can read their snapshot and find a link to their full profile below.

Whisky Rivers Guinness English Springer Spaniel

Guinness (Full Profile) is a big beautiful black and white male weighing 50 lbs with an exceptional easy going, fun demeanor and temperament. He was whelped and trained at Whisky River Gun Dogs kennel. Guinness has an incredible nose, smelling birds much sooner than most dogs. He is also an excellent retriever, making incredibly long retrieves. When Guinness smells a bird he has a whole other gear and accelerates into the bird. He lives in the house and has the coveted on off switch. Guinness is one of the type of dogs we are all looking for. He just placed 3rd at the 2020 Open National Championship in Utah.

Dunkin English Springer Spaniel

Dunkin (Full Profile) is a 48 lb leggy white and liver English Spring Spaniel. He is very graceful in the field and quarters like a dream. Dunkin has been easy to train as he is extremely biddable and is very willing to please. He is an exceptional retriever and has a good nose. He is very consistent both at hunting and field trials. He seems to be in the third series often, and placing or winning often. Dunkin is a friendly guy and does well with children and in the home.
